這套電影展現述説了一個不平凡卻平凡的故事。女主Ally一直在酒吧唱歌，很少人懂得欣賞她的歌唱天份和潛能，直到遇到男主Jackson。在Jackson的帶領下，Ally漸漸開始得到越來越多人的賞識和喜愛，兩人也同時收穫愛情，喜得連理，最後Ally更獲得葛萊美最佳新進藝人獎。可正在此時，Jackson的情緒問題也走上了不可復返的地步，他以酗酒及吸毒麻痹自己的痛苦，在最終接受不到自己的時候走上了自殺的道路，在自家的車庫上吊。這套電影提醒了我們在前進的道路上，不要忘記時常回頭關心陪伴及支持身邊的人，不要因一時的冷淡，讓愛的人受到不必要的傷害和作出不可挽回的犧牲。

這部電影的自創曲目也十分悅耳，其中包括大熱的“ Shallow”，大家不妨去聽一聽，可能可以在這首歌中找到共鳴。
